Get your tickets for Disney's Finding Nemo Jr. live on stage at the Walton

The modern Disney classic Finding Nemo is coming to the Walton Performing Arts Center this May!

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo Jr. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Finding Nemo Jr. is based on the award-winning theatrical production previously only performed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, featuring dozens of larger than life puppets. With a runtime of 1 hour and 15 minutes, this is the perfect show for friends and family of all ages to experience the wonder of theatre magic together.

The show is a production of the CSA Theatre compANY, which features many Marion Community Schools students (as well as others from around the county). This pre-professional training program is open to kids around the region, ages 8 to 18. Training ranges from acting to singing to dancing to theater tech, props, costuming, and other stagecraft.

The public will have three opportunities to see this spectacular family musical: 7 p.m. May 3 and 4, and at 2 p.m. May 5.

(The Theatre compANY will also be staging the show during the school day for hundreds of elementary school students from around the county, part of the annual Student Performance Series.)
