The Walton Performing Arts Center at Marion High School will host two Indiana Bandmasters Association honor bands this fall.
First up will be the IBA All-Region Honor Band, which features select students from around the region in grades seven through nine. After weeks of practice on their own, on Nov. 15 the young musicians will gather to rehearse together for the first time. Then, on Sunday, Nov. 16, they will present a public performance at 4 p.m. on the main stage at the Walton Performing Arts Center at Marion High School, 750 W. 26th St.
Next will be the IBA All-District Honor Band, which features select students from around the region in grades nine through 12. They will gather to rehearse together on Nov. 22, then offer a public performance at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, on the main stage at the Walton.
These honor bands offer students a great opportunity, and will give them a chance to learn and grow as musicians. We hope you will consider joining us to support them and enjoy their performance.
