Marion High School is bringing The Music Man back to the stage at the Walton Performing Arts Center this fall! The cast features students from Marion High School as well as McCulloch Junior High.
By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson's six-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957. Fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill sets his sights on an easy mark: the town of River City, Iowa. But things don’t go exactly as he planned when he falls for the local librarian. With heartfelt tunes including the rousing march “Seventy-six Trombones”, the wistful “Good Night My Someone”, the folksy “Wells Fargo Wagon”, the classic love song “Till There Was You”, and of course the comedic “Gary, Indiana”, this show is is a must-see!
