Two Marion High School students have been selected to perform in a prestigious all-state honor ensemble at the Indiana Music Educators Association’s upcoming annual conference.
Clara Davies, senior, and Hannah Huff, junior, were selected to participate in the Indiana Choral Directors Association’s All-State Honor Choir.
This ensemble is a great opportunity and gives students a chance to learn and grow as musicians. To earn a spot with the All-State Honor Choir, students participate in a challenging audition process, in itself a great learning experience.
The All-State Honor Choir will perform under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Joshua Palkki, associate professor of music at the Georgia Institute of Technology, during the IMEA’s annual conference, set for Jan. 14-16 in Fort Wayne.
Marion’s representation during this music-filled weekend is a testament to the hard work and dedication our students display every day in the classroom, and to the excellence, skill, and professionalism that our music educators bring to their work all year round.
